Red Rover Red Rover Send the Astros Over...
to be crushed to a pulp on the south side of the best city there ever was. Though the owner behind www.wastedworld.blogspot.com seems to talk a big talk...remember, this is the guy who is bailing from the city that sheltered Enron for Portland. Fairweather Fans aren't worth my time.
Other things I hate? Yes, when I am at a cool concert I know one of my friends wishes he/she were at, I know I shouldnt, but I hold up the phone to try to give them a glimpse of what they are missing. And I can't stand that #1 they don't even make a comment about it or #2 they say, Jess that never works. Jeez. At least I'm trying to include you. A "thank you" might be just a little tiny bit appreciated.
Renting a car in Ireland is proving to be a major problem, because we can't get free insurance from our credit cards (which, by the way, we've supported heavily in the past several years). The price goes from $150 for a week to $400 a week with insurance. Damn.
Also, I am obsessively listening to Cyndi Lauper's "when you were mine" (the prince version pales in comparison)..I just akwardly, jerkily danced down Washington Street, between State & Wabash. Oh, and Sun Kil Moon's wonderfully meloncholic Mark Kozelek cover Modest Mouse Songs. "Tiny Cities" Check it out http://www.4tracksuperhero.net/?p=43
No one says "Drats!" anymore.

Absolute fucking bullshit. I am absolutely shocked and appalled that you would consider me a "fair weather" fan - I've been an Astros fan since before you LEFT Texas! Hence my absolute Hatred of the Bills (after Reich brought them back from 35-3 to beat the Oilers), and my disdain for anything sports preceded by "New York."
On a side note, fuck this 92 year curse, fuck all of this - the Astros are constantly getting the ol' captain shoehorn in the bunghole. I mean, somehow, SOMEHOW Vizcaino manages to get a fucking hit and drive in a run to tie the game, and the next goddammed pitch from Lidge is sent out of the park? What is happening? Our bats all of a sudden light up, and now Qualls and Lidge have become unreliable? This is not right...but then again, this is the Astros.
And don't even get me started about that FOUL BALL off of Dye's bat - first you dirty Sox pull that bullshit Pierzynski play in the Angels series to win a game, now this...I guess the cheating spirit of the old Black Sox never really did die?
Ok, I've settled down a bit more this morning - I hadn't had my green tea yet - perhaps the "Dirty Sox" comment was a bit too much, but I still maintain that it was a foul ball.
